Get Hired! Interviewing Workshops

Are you Nervous and Worried about your Job Interview?

Unsure your Answers will be Right? You can improve your interviewing skills, so you Ace Your Interview.

Lost your job recently? Haven’t interviewed in along time? New Grad? Up for a job promotion?

Whether you are just entering the workforce or you have worked for several years, there are important things you need to know about job interviewing.

The job market is more competitive than ever and you need to be skilled at interviewing to get ahead of all the other candidates, and land the job you want. Interviewing well is a learned skill. You would need to go to interviews every day for the next 6 months to practice interviewing and no one has the time to do that. Instead, you need expert training.

It is easy to get into the trap of talking too much or not enough during an interview.

Saying too much or not saying enough are problems that can quickly take you out of the running for the job. Too many details will put the interviewer to sleep. Not enough details will sound like you do not have the experience or the skills to do the job. Learn the fine balance of answering questions, so your interviewer will want to know more about you.

Ever ask yourself, “What did they mean by that question?” Or “What were they really trying to find out?”

Some interview questions can be tricky and you may not know what the interviewer is getting at. Find out what to do when you do not know how to answer a question. Discover what to say when the interview question is confusing.

Get Hired! Interviewing Workshop will help you gain confidence and clarity about the job interviewing process.

This program is interactive and engaging. It’s not sitting and listening to a lecture. You will practice and improve your skills and gain confidence as you learn. You will participate in a video recorded mock interview.

You will discover vital information about:

  • How to prepare for an interview and what will dazzle your interviewer.
  • How to successfully answer interview questions that will move you to the next step.
  • How to relax and show confidence.
  • The secrets to a successful phone interview.
  • The best ways and special techniques to wow a panel interview.
  • How to follow up after the interview so you really impress your interviewer.

Testimonials:

”After being in the work force for many years, I now find myself in the job market again.  Fortunately, I found a class that was being offered for Resume and Interviewing.  I gained a wealth of information and the instructor (Easter Becker-Smith) enlightened the entire class with what is expected in today’s market.  There was interaction in the class and she made the two sessions very interesting.  I learned so many new concepts because of her knowledge and how she presented the facts and now have better confidence in myself and more prepared to face the challenges of today’s world”–Joan Kolozenski

“Thank you for everything! You helped me so much! You provided me with resources, perspective and application opportunities for refining my interviewing skills in a competitive/changing job market.”

Aaron Itczak, Dean of Students

“I will definitely recommend this workshop to fellow graduates. I not only learned the process of answering questions during an interview, but how to carry myself as well.”   Tyler Moore, DePaul University 2010 Grad

“The workshop was most helpful to me…I learned something (about types of interviews) I’ve never known before. That new bit of information alone was worth the price of the workshop.”
Charles Bonilla, Alumni Relations Coordinator

My position at a large medical corporation was eliminated, and I haven’t had to search for a job for several years! I attended Easter’s interviewing workshop and learned many great tips about the whole process-before, during and after the interview. She also talked about newer interviewing techniques and questions that companies are utilizing now-very interesting and helpful! I’ve already been integrating this information from the workshop and feel that I am projecting a professional, confident and calm manner- thanks for the practical tools to strengthen my interviewing skills!
